There are a thousand ways that people choose to have relationships with fruit trees on their land, and you may find yourself in need of more help than an internet search can provide. Things that we can help with:

• Winter pruning of fruit trees

• Restoring very old fruit trees

• Site selection for a new planting

  • Property walk

  • Help soil sampling

  • Planting advice

• Insect or disease diagnostics

• Organic or Ecologically safe pest control advice for fruit trees

• Identification of mystery fruit - Old apple varieties are our specialty, but can do others as well.

• Training of young trees.

• Home orchard visit -A general checkup on the state of your fruit trees.

• Custom propagation of a wild variety or sport that you have, or just an old tree that has sentimental value.

Price Structure

For an in person visit to your home or orchard, we charge an hourly rate plus a travel fee.

For a consultation we charge $200

(this includes small pruning/training of young trees)

Our hourly rate for pruning is:

$100 for the first hour and $75 per hour after that

The travel fee is $45 per hour*

* Travel fees are waived if you live within 30 minutes from us

Sometimes you may have a big project, you may be too far away to have us drive to you, have a tree you’d like us to identify, or for some other reason feel that you would like to communicate extensively with us via email for advice.

In this case we do charge a fee, and will negotiate with you based on what it is you need help with. This might be in the form of a one-time charge or a retainer if you are looking for standing advisors on a project.
